The Mississippi Housing Institute (MHI) is the education branch that is the approved education provider for the Mississippi State Board of Contractors. Membership provides access to a variety of continuing education opportunities, seminars and certification programs that help members maintain a competitive edge and that essential to new licensure standards.

Previous courses include OSHA certification, first aid and safety in addition to marketing and social media. The association is constantly considering new partnerships to expand these opportunities.

Selected courses are also approved by the Mississippi Real Estate Commission and meet licensure requirements.
