Home Builders Association of Mississippi Endorses Phil Bryant for Governor
On Thursday, February 10th, 2011 the Home Builders Association of Mississippi announced that they would endorse Phil Bryant in his campaign for Governor.
The announcement was made today during the Board of Directors meeting in Jackson, Mississippi by President of the Association, Chris Massey. The Lt. Governor was on hand to accept the endorsement from the Association.
Massey said that the endorsement was due to Phil Bryant’s proven leadership and his commitment to the housing industry. “Phil understands that housing means jobs for our State, and will be a great partner as we work together to “Build a Better Mississippi”.
“I’m pleased and honored to receive the endorsement of my campaign for Governor from the Home Builders Association of Mississippi,” said Phil Bryant. “The Home Builders are literally building Mississippi and that not only makes our entire economy stronger, it also provides people more opportunities to reach their dream of home ownership and more financial stability. I appreciate this endorsement, and I will continue working to keep the trust of everyone who shares my vision for making Mississippi the most job-friendly state in America with more economic growth for everyone.”

HBAM General Election Report Election night turned out to be a very successful night for the Home Builders Association of Mississippi BUILD PAC. The biggest victory was helping elect a true friend of the Association and the housing industry, Phil Bryant as Governor. HBAM was the first trade association to endorse Phil for Governor. Build PAC won 6 out of 7 other statewide races.
BUILD PAC also fared well in the Senate winning 93% of the 14 races where we supported candidates. The margin for Republicans appears to have increased by 3 seats in the Mississippi Senate. The total will give the newly elected Lt. Governor, Tate Reeves, a 30 to 22 margin of Republicans over Democrats in the Senate.
